LA SALETTE - Norfolk OPP are investigating a suspicious fire on Souder Street in La Salette.
Firefighters were called on Wednesday around 3:40 am. They found a pile of shading posts for a ginseng field that had been set on fire. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze however it appeared that the fire had been set intentionally after investigators located fuels cans nearby. The damage is estimated at approximately $5,000.
The Norfolk County OPP is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
