OPP are investigating a suspicious house fire that occurred just outside of Simcoe last night.
SIMCOE - Norfolk County OPP are investigating a suspicious house fire that occurred on Norfolk Street South.
OPP, along with the Norfolk County Fire Department and Norfolk County Paramedic Services, arrived on scene at 9:30 last night.
Constable Ed Sanchuk says firefighters were able to contain the fire on the first floor of the home.
"The good news is there were absolutely no injuries to report. So a big shout out goes to our Norfolk County Fire Department, all of the volunteers who showed up here today, obviously they've pretty much saved this house from burning down to the ground."
Sanchuk says as they continue their investigation the office of the Ontario Fire Marshal has been contacted, who will be assisting the OPP today.
