South-West Oxford will have a new CAO in 2026.
SWOX - The Township of South-West Oxford will soon have a new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
Mayor David Mayberry announced on Thursday that Mary Ellen Greb will retire at the end of the year.
She has worked in the municipal sector for 40 years now and 28 of them were in South-West Oxford.
Julie Middleton will be stepping into the CAO position once Greb retires. She started out as a Municipal Clerk for the Township back in 2017 and took on the Deputy CAO position as well in 2022.
Mayberry says Middleton is the right person for the job.
"Julie’s extensive 20 years of experience in varying roles at lower-tier municipalities in Southwestern Ontario (including Oxford County) and her working knowledge of our community have prepared her for this new role. Her unwavering commitment to customer service and collaboration with the public, staff, council, and other agencies will ensure that the Township's strategic and organizational goals are met."
He adds more details regarding Greb's departure will revealed at a later date.
