Southwestern Public Health will be accepting walk-in COVID-19 booster shot appointments from patients over the age of 70 this week.
SWPH - People over the age of 70 won't have to book an appointment if they would like to receive their COVID-19 booster shot.
Southwestern Public Health will be accepting walk-in booster shot appointments for the 70-plus age group this week only. The health unit says several COVID-19 fatalities have taken place in elderly individuals lately, so officials are encouraging everyone to get the booster, especially if it has been six months since their last dose.
Southwestern Public Health has two mass vaccination clinics, one at the Oxford Auditorium in Woodstock and another at the Southwestern Public Health office on Talbot Street in St. Thomas. The Woodstock clinic is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.) and the St. Thomas clinic is open Monday to Friday, also from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.)
The health unit is also offering three pop-up clinics in Oxford County this week:
