Starting today the Health Unit will be doing case and contact management for high risk settings like Long Term Care and Retirement Homes.
Southwestern Public Health Unit is putting all of their resources towards getting people vaccinated over the holidays.
Following guidance from the Province they will stop doing comprehensive contact and case management. The exception to this will be for high risk settings, such as Long Term Care Homes and Retirement Homes.
This means you will not be contacted by the Health Unit over the next couple of weeks, if you come into close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. The COVID-19 dashboard will also automatically remove cases after 10 days.
If you test positive for COVID-19, you must self isolate for 10 days and do not stop your self isolation after getting a negative result from a PCR test.
