After a special board meeting last night, the Thames Valley District School Board announced they will push back the start of school for both elementary and secondary students to September 14th.
LONDON - Public schools across the Thames Valley District School Board will not be returning to the classroom on September 8th as originally planned, they will now return on September 14th.
The decision came during a special meeting last night as boards across the province were instructed by the Ministry of Education to change their return to school model.
The change applies to students learning remotely as well as students physically returning to the classroom and applies to all grades.
The plan is a staggered start and will have some students return on September 17.
The last minute revision applies to all grades, including students returning to school and those learning remotely.
This week, parents can expect to be asked to sign a mandatory Student Health Agreement before their children return to in-person learning. It includes a parent pre-screen of each of their children before leaving for school.
