The intersection was closed for the investigation all morning, but is now open. However, it may still be a good idea to avoid the area.
NORFOLK - Both drivers have serious injuries from a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Indian Line and Mohawk Road.
Yesterday, around 8 p.m., the Norfolk OPP as well as Six Nations emergency services responded to the collision between a pickup truck and an SUV. Police say it appears that alcohol was the contributing factor.
The driver of the pickup truck was extricated by firefighters and transported to a Hamilton hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV suffered serious injuries as well and was also taken to a Hamilton area hospital for treatment.
The intersection was closed for the police investigation all morning, but is now open. However, it may still be a good idea to avoid the area.
Further updates will be provided when new information becomes available.
