The Small Business Centre offers a number of free resources including one on one counseling and workshops. They have rebranded to let everyone know will help any and all small business owners in Oxford County.
WOODSTOCK - The Small Business Centre in Woodstock is having a grand re-opening on Wednesday.
Doors open at 1:30 pm and they welcome people to drop by until 7 p.m. Manager Ramona Gallagher says they want everyone to know that are here to help small business owners in Oxford County.
"We were formally the Woodstock and area, Small Business Enterprise Centre, we have rebranded to signify that we are all encompassing for Oxford County. We want people to come to the Centre and see what is new and what we are doing for the County, for small business owners. I took over as Manager in October and totally gutted the Centre and we are starting it from scratch with my small business consultant Shawn McNamara."
Gallagher says the Small Business Centre offers a number of free resources including one on one counselling and workshops.
"We have workshops, we have one on one business consultations, it is for people who are thinking about starting a business, people who are in the process of starting a business and also right now, and this a big focus for us because people don't realize this, we also work with current business owners, who may need a second set of eyes on their business and need someone to talk to."
Gallagher says she really wants to see local businesses prosper.
"I become totally invested in people's business, I talk about their business as we, sometimes for some people it is watching the lights come on, for other people it is just having them have that sense of relief. I have a box of Kleenex in my office and it is not for colds, it is because I have people cry in my office, tears of relief to have someone that understands their business that they can talk to, that is not friends or family and has an objective opinion and talk them through the process."
Everyone is welcome to stop by the Centre on Wednesday, they will be making a major announcement at 5:30 p.m.
