"I'm coming back to Theatre Woodstock because it has some of the best singers in Ontario so put your ‘shanty pants’ on and get ready to SINGALONG!” - Sean McCann
WOODSTOCK - The Shantyman is coming back to the Friendly City!
Sean McCann will hit the Theatre Woodstock stage this Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
Most people know him as one of the founding members of Great Big Sea which has several hit songs including Ordinary Day, The Night Pat Murphy Died, and I'se the B'y.
McCann also received the Order of Canada for his recovery advocacy back in 2019. He is a survivor of sexual abuse and subsequent addiction and he shares his story with audiences in hopes of helping others with their mental health journey.
He's now 12 years sober and he's a believer that music is strong medicine.
"It has the power to heal the hurt and unite the divided and we ALL need that now more than ever."
Tickets for the show can be purchased on the Theatre Woodstock website or at the box office.
