It'll be one of the biggest rally seen in London in decades. Thousands of Union and community groups are staging a mass demonstration at 11 o'clock this morning in London's Victoria Park to support the hundreds of locked-out workers at Electro-Motive. CAW Local 27 Plant Chair Bob Scott tells Heart-FM there's plenty of reasons why Electro Motive Workers are staging their rally "There 450 CAW Members and 300 salary, so we're looking at more than 700 people, but the spin-off would probably be about 2,000 employees throughout the community that are going to be affected by this (let alone their families) if the plant goes down. The Day of Action against Electro-Motive/Caterpillar is being organized by the CAW, with the support of the London and District Labour Council, the Ontario Federation of Labour and the Canadian Labour Congress. Road closures will be in place around Victoria Park from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
