$10,000 is the top prize for the lottery that will give money away for 12 days leading up to January 6th.
WOODSTOCK - Time is running out to take part in the South Gate Centre's 12 Days of Lottery.
For $25 you will be entered into a draw for 12 days leading up to the $10,000 grand prize. Executive Director of the South Gate Centre, Chris Cunningham, is pleased with the support they have received. "It has gone so well ticket sales are just going like wildfire here! It is incredible, the enthusiasm has been spectacular, people are rushing in at all locations to get the last of the tickets for Christmas, for stocking stuffers, big gifts, little gifts, and everything in between, so we are really excited."
The draws will begin on boxing day and run for just short of 2 weeks and every day the cash prizes will increase, Cunningham says even if you aren't successful in winning your are supporting a great cause. "All the money goes back to the South Gate Centre 100%, and we put that into programming and just the whole operation here at South Gate Centre. Only 2,000 tickets have been printed, and your odds are 1:65. The really good thing also is the tickets go back in so you still have that chance of winning that $10,000 prize on day 12." The grand prize draw will be held on January 6th.
Cunningham says you have a real chance of winning. "You have got to be in it to win it so get your tickets today! It is wonderful because the money is staying right here in the community, you have a real chance of winning, and you are winning anyway's because you are supporting Southgate Centre right here in Oxford County." Tickets are available at the South Gate Centre, First Ontario Credit Union, Merrifield Book Shop, The Quality Inn & Suites, and Chartwell Oxford Gardens on Devonshire Avenue.
