Kristal Pitter is one of three nurses suing the CNA after being investigated for sharing controversial pandemic views on social media.
TILLSONBURG - A nurse from Tillsonburg is suing the Canadian Nurses Association with a libel suit, asking for $1 million dollars.
Kristal Pitter is one of three nurses to file the suit according to various media outlets. The others are Kristen Nagle of London and Sara Choujounian. All three have been investigated by the College of Nurses of Ontario for their controversial views on the pandemic.
Pitter has been featured in several rallies and protests locally, including one in Woodstock last summer that also featured MP Derek Sloan and pastor Henry Hildebrandt. She is a nurse practitioner and was also a nursing home inspector. Pitter was cautioned about spreading misinformation on social media by the CNA.
Nagle and Choujounian made headlines last year as well for allegedly going to Washington during last January's non-essential travel ban.
Also named in the lawsuit is CNA President Tim Guest, CNA CEO Michael Villeneuve and a B.C media company, Together News Inc.
