The WITAAR has selected Dane Willson of Royal LePage R.E. Wood Realty as the recipient of this year's Realtors Care Award.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Woodstock, Ingersoll, Tillsonburg, & Area Association of Realtors (WITAAR) has selected its winner of the 2022 Local Realtors Care Award.
The award was created to give recognition to those that go above and beyond to uplift communities in Oxford County through volunteer work.
This year Dane Willson of Royal LePage R.E. Wood Realty (Tillsonburg) received the award for "tirelessly donating his time and energy not only to the real estate industry, but to several charitable causes, local clubs, committees, and events."
Here is some of the work that Willson is being recognized for:
- President of the Kinsmen Club coordinating several fundraisers for many community projects and participates in ongoing volunteer activities
- Past Master of King Hiram Masonic Lodge
- Current Vice President Tillsonburg Shrine Club
- Member of the Affordable & Attainable Housing Committee with the Town of Tillsonburg
- Member of the Economic Development Advisory Committee Council Sub Committee
- Assisted with Tillsonburg Hospital Foundation Fundraiser
- Volunteered with the Tillsonburg 150 Anniversary
- Volunteered at the annual TDREB VON Sakura House BBQ
- Also volunteers throughout the year for various charitable or fundraising activities for a variety of organizations.
The award comes with a $500 donation to be made in Willson's name to the charity of his choice, which he chose the Helping Hands Food Bank in Tillsonburg.
Willson is the first recipient of the Local REALTORS® Care Award since the amalgamation of WITAAR earlier this year.
