It is another edition of Tip Tuesday with the Oxford OPP, where your questions get answered by Constable Randi Crawford.

OXFORD COUNTY - It was another edition of Tip Tuesday.

Media Relations Officer with the Oxford OPP Constable Randi Crawford was on the Heart FM Morning Show today to answer some of your questions. Crawford says you can call 9-1-1 for a speeder in a residential area, but there is also another option.

"However, if it's someone, let's say, speeds by you every morning at 8 o'clock in the morning, you haven't been able to catch a plate yet, but you've been able to get maybe the make and model of the vehicle, what time this person usually drives by, if you can identify them as maybe being a male driver, female, et cetera. So, you can do that as a non-emergency report."

Crawford adds that if there is a continual problem with speeding in a residential area, people should get in touch with their local municipality, as the OPP only enforces the law and does not make it. She also shed some light on whether it is illegal to drive with bare feet or flip-flops.

"Pretty much it comes down to police and safety, professionals or experts will say, as long as you are wearing something that makes you feel safe, and your driving behaviours are safe, then it doesn't really matter what you're wearing or not wearing."

Crawford mentions that the footwear only becomes an issue if the rules of the road are broken and they are forced to pull you over. If you would like to hear the full edition of Tip Tuesday for June, you can do so below.
