In order to become a partner with Tourism Oxford, it is mandatory to attend one of these sessions.
OXFORD - The County is already starting to prepare for next year's cheese trail.
Local businesses interested in joining the Oxford County Cheese Trail next year are being offered two one-hour information sessions hosted by Tourism Oxford in Woodstock and Tillsonburg.
They plan on explaining how the event works, what partner involvement looks like, consumer expectations and standards, and what the next steps are to join the 2023 cheese trail.
In order to sign up, it is mandatory to attend one of these sessions. Meredith Maywood, Tourism Specialist for Oxford County explains why these meetings are so important.
"We're trying to provide people with time and the information they need to understand what its like to be part of the cheese trail. Everybody that comes out and attends a session, they're going to then go out and do a tour to see several stops along the trail and see how they operate and hear back from those businesses."
If it is not possible to make it on either date, Maywood confirmed that arrangements could be made.
The Oxford County Cheese Trail was launched in 2014 as a culinary tourism attraction in partnership with over 25 businesses celebrating cheese & dairy past and present.
