The Town of Ingersoll is making changes to the way the Building Department operates during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
TOWN OF INGERSOLL - The Town of Ingersoll is making changes to the way the Building Department operates during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
They will continue to do inspections of all new construction for for commercial, industrial, institutional, residential homes, decks, sheds and pools, these inspections include sewer, footing, backfill, underground and rough in plumbing, framing, insulation and vapour barrier, HVAC and occupancy/final. In order to comply with provincial social distancing requirements, building department staff will be the only ones permitted onsite at the time of an inspection.
If an inspection cannot be don, they cannot continue with construction.
The Town is only accepting building permit applications for new construction only (Commercial, Industrial, Residential, decks, sheds and pools).
Emergency situations will be assessed on a case by case situation, if at any time you feel that you have an emergency please email building@ingersoll.ca and someone from the Building Department will be in touch ASAP.
