You might run into a few tractors in Simcoe today as The Farmers of Ontario's Garden protest the current restrictions for migrant workers.
NORFOLK COUNTY - Don't be alarmed if you see a convoy of tractors today heading towards Simcoe.
The group will be meeting on Highway 3, between Delhi and Simcoe at 11 and rolling into the Norfolk County Fairgrounds for noon.
Norfolk's farming community is in a state of crisis according to the group known as The Farmers of Ontario's Garden.
They claim the current restrictions on migrant workers is putting the growing season into jeopardy.
Farmers are specifically worried about the 3 man per bunkhouse quarantine regulations and the new Federal Government switch testing procedures.
The group warns that unless immediate solutions are developed and taken in the coming days and weeks, we could face a shortage of locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables in 2021 and beyond.
