TILLSONBURG - Tuesday will go down in history as an absolute tragic day on Lisgar Avenue in the Town of Tillsonburg.

Residents at the 6 story apartment building at 195 Lisgar Avenue are still without a home after a massive fire. You can read all about that story and the dramatic rescue of 18 residents stranded on balconies here.

Later that evening a 26 year old man tragically died on the same street. Police say a passenger was ejected from a moving vehicle and then was hit by that same vehicle. The driver left the scene initially and then returned and was taken into custody. Charges are pending. Police initially thought the victim in this crash was a pedestrian.

Wyatt Chambers was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The road was closed until approximately 1:30 a.m., while members of the West Region Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) unit assisted.
