Police have charged a truck driver with stunt driving on the 401 in Thames Centre.
THAMES CENTRE - A 27 year old truck driver from Brampton has been charged following another Commercial Motor Vehicle at a distance less than 10 metres while travelling in excess of 100 km/h.
Police charged the man after getting footage from the OPP Aviation Services during an aerial enforcement of the 401 in Thames Centre.
The driver was charged on Sunday Afternoon with Drive Motor Vehicle - Perform Stunt - Too Close To Vehicle. He was given a 7 day driver's licence suspension, and the tractor trailer was impounded for 7 days.
OPP West Region Staff Sergeant Andrea Quenneville says safety is their number one priority on the Highway.
"Highway safety is not only a vital role for the OPP but an important role for all road users. Keeping a safe following distance is the law, and is for your safety."
