A massive wheat field fire today won't help water conservation efforts. All of Zorra's fire departments were forced to team up to fight a field fire, sparked by a pick-up truck that started on fire. It happened on the 27th Line and consumed a major amount of the crop before crews were able to put it out. The fire comes during an open air burning ban under tinder dry conditions, and with the County in water conservation mode.
