Police say a stolen white Chevy Silverado was last spotted heading west on Highway 8 towards Mitchell on Wednesday morning.
STRATFORD - Stratford Police are investigating after a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was stolen from a property on Line 26 in Perth South.
Police say the white pickup truck with the license plate number AR65255 was taken sometime overnight on Tuesday. The truck is raised with large tires and chrome rims. There is a dent in the middle of the rear tailgate and a white “S” decal on the bottom left corner of the rear window.
A truck matching that description was spotted travelling west on Highway 8 towards Mitchell at 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
The Stratford Police Service is requesting that anyone who observes this vehicle to contact the police service from where the vehicle is observed and please do not approach the vehicle. It is unknown if the truck involved in this incident was left unlocked, however; the Stratford Police would like to remind everyone to ensure that their vehicles are locked and secured, and please do not leave your keys within your vehicle as this provides for an easy target for it to be stolen.
If anyone has any information regarding this theft, please contact the Stratford Police Service at 519-271- 4141, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
