The Township of Zorra is one of 140 communities who be getting tulips from the Netherlands this year.
ZORRA - The Township of Zorra is planting a tulip garden in honour of the 70th Anniversary of the Dutch Canadian Friendship.
The Netherlands have been sending tulips to Canada to thank us for the role of Canadian soldiers played in the liberation of the Netherlands and the hospitality Canada provided to the Dutch Royal Family in Ottawa in WWII.
Zorra Clerk Karen Martin tells Heart FM the garden ceremony is open the public.
"It is open to the public on October 28th from 10 am to 12 pm and we ask anyone to come on out and have a look at all of the tulips being planted or even help out with some of the planting."
Zorra is one of 140 communities who will be getting the tulip bulbs from the Netherlands for the 140th anniversary.
