A total of six new cases of COVID-19 have been reported throughout the entire TVDSB. Officials have also decided to temporarily close Port Burwell Public School to in-person learning.
TVDSB - We have two new school related cases of COVID-19 in Oxford County.
One is at Westfield Public School in Tillsonburg and the other is at Algonquin Public School in Woodstock. The Thames Valley District School Board is now reporting a total of three active cases at Westfield PS and three active cases at Algonquin PS. Both schools remain open at this time and all of the affected parents, guardians and staff members have already been notified.
A total of six new confirmed or probable cases of COVID-19 were reported throughout the entire Thames Valley District School Board last night. This includes one case at Elgin Court Public School in St. Thomas, one case at Pierre Elliott Trudeau French Immersion Public School in St. Thomas and two new cases at Port Burwell Public School.
Thames Valley is now reporting a total of 8 active cases within the Port Burwell Public School community. Officials have decided to temporarily close the school to in-person learning as a result.
All students will participate in online learning starting today and teachers will be reaching out to their students families in order to provide more information. Thames Valley is hoping to reopen Port Burwell Public School to in-person learning on Monday November 29th.
