Subscribers will have a 30-minute window to edit tweets, tags and reorder media.
Canadians will be among the first to access an edit button on Twitter.
Officials say as early as late September, the feature will be made available to Canadian subscribers of Twitter Blue, the company's paid subscription service.
Subscribers can edit their tweets, add or remove tags and re-order attached media within 30 minutes of publishing with the new feature.
The company says the edit button is it's "most requested feature to date."
The news comes as Canada looks to regulate tech companies and faces pressure to tackle the issue of online harassment.
