Two trick-or-treat hotspots in Ingersoll will be supporting local causes this Halloween. A home on Mutual Street North will be collecting food donations for the Salvation Army and a home on Fuller Street will be collecting donations for Operation Sharing.
INGERSOLL - Halloween is in full gear on Fuller and Mutual Streets in the Town of Ingersoll this year.
Ryan Sutherland says him and his fiancé Terri Weston always go big with their decorations at 118 Mutual Street North.
"Basically we have different scenes from different movies, our newest one is our Children of the Corn one, we had a bunch of two foot children's dolls given to us. Last year for Christmas, I made up cousin Eddie from Christmas Vacation, so I have just kept him like that for Halloween and made up a sign. We have Mike Myers, Freddy Kreuger and all the famous slashers at the house as well."
Meanwhile Rob Hessler says he always puts on a huge display for the kids at his place on Fuller Street.
"We love Halloween, so we do a bit of display, the kids in the area, they like it and we like scaring them, so everyone gets a good kick out of it."
Hessler is collecting quarters for Operation Sharing this year. You don't have to donate, but if you do, it will go towards the Operation Sharing Food for Friends program.
Meanwhile Sutherland is doing a food drive at his house for Halloween. All food donations will be going to the local Salvation Army.
