Tommy Zufelt and Wes Dobbins joined the Woodstock Navy Vets over the holidays.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Navy Vets will have a couple of new players with them, when the return to the ice next weekend.
Head Coach Darren Young says the team is excited to add Tommy Zufelt after a trade with Hespeler.
"He has been on of there best players this year, I like his game, he's a good skater, he is a scorer, he's not a big kid, he battles and competes and I like that about him. Everywhere he has gone, he has been able to score goals."
The Navy Vets are also welcoming Wes Dobbins to the team. Young says Dobbins was with the team in the pre-season and decided he couldn't play for personal reasons but he is ready to suit up now.
"He is a big impact guy, he has played Junior B, some Junior A and throughout his career, he has always been a point a game kind of guy, so he is going to add a lot offence and a lot of punch up front."
The Navy Vets have not been able to practice since the Province went in lockdown. Young is a little worried about the team's conditioning and is hopeful his guys will return in good shape. With the two new additions, the Navy Vets have made it clear, they are all in this season and looking to win a championship.
Woodstock's first home game back at Southwood is next Friday, February 4th against Wellesley.
