Crime Stoppers of Oxford has two fundraising events coming up next month. There will be a Jeep Show and Shine at the Tillsonburg Fairgrounds on September 9th and Art at the Inn at the Elm Hurst on September 10th.
TILLSONBURG/INGERSOLL - Crime Stoppers of Oxford will be busy next month.
There will be two fundraising events taking place during the second weekend of September. The first event will take place on Saturday, September 9th. Director, Jan Hauck says what residents can expect for the day.
"The Jeep Show and Shine is running from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Fairgrounds. This is through Advanced Towing, and they have generously offered to provide us as the Crime Stoppers of Oxford any proceeds from the day will be coming to Crime Stoppers."
Hauck says that the organization is so thankful and is hoping that the day will be enjoyed by all who attend.
Next on the agenda is the Art in the Inn event held on Saturday, September 10th as local artists get the opportunity to show off their work. Hauck mentions that there will be a wide range of vendors at the event.
"We will have about 22 artists from Southwestern Ontario, with various mediums. If you are looking for something to update your home, or your cottage, think a little bit ahead for gift-giving ideas, this would be an awesome opportunity. Crime Stoppers is really, really wanting to support the local artists."
Anything sold by the artists will be going directly back to them. This event has free admission for anyone wanting to attend, while Crime Stoppers is only getting the small fee the artists are paying to be there.
Hauck stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Thursday August 24th. You can listen to the full interview below:
