Canadians who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can now drive to the United States for non-essential reasons.
CANADA/UNITED STATES - For the first time since March 2020, non-essential traffic is now moving in both directions across the Canada-U.S. land border.
This means you can now drive to the United States for fun, but you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and take a COVID test before returning to Canada. You also have to pay for that test yourself.
The Canada Border Services Agency says you have to test negative for COVID-19 no more than 72 hours before trying to cross the border back into Canada.
