A drive-thru breakfast will begin tomorrow at 6:30am at the Vansittart Fire Hall to begin the latest United Way Campaign
WOODSTOCK - The kickoff for the United Way comes with a breakfast sandwich.
Executive Director of the United Way Oxford, Kelly Gilson says the Woodstock Fire Fighters will be serving up breakfast sandwiches and coffee during their campaign launch. "And it's just a lot of fun. It's good food and it's really fast so you can drive through, pick up a couple sandwiches and go to work and have breakfast there with your pals. Or you can stop and stay and visit, we'd love that too. And again it's just to get awareness out there that the campaign has started and there's lots of ways for people to get involved, and support, and volunteer, and contribute."
The Fire Fighters will be serving up breakfast sandwiches and Tim Horton's coffee starting at 6:30 a.m. over at the Vansittart Avenue Fire Hall. There is no cost for the breakfast, but they will be accepting donations for the United Way.
Gilson says this is a perfect way to start your morning off, whether you have a lot of time, or even just a little. "So you can drive right through or you can actually park next door at the Lion's Pool if you want to come and join us and have a little chit chat. And Tim Horton's will supply coffee, and the Sentinel will be there with morning papers."
