You can still book an appointment to donate blood at one of the upcoming clinics in Oxford County.
OXFORD COUNTY - Canadian Blood Services continues to collect donations during the lockdown.
Territory Manager Jamie Reichmann says things do look a little different these days when donating blood.
"When donors show up at a mobile event in Oxford, they are going to be asked to go to our Wellness Check In, where a VSR, will take their temperature, ask them to use one of our masks that we will provide and then from there, it is basically the same process as before COVID."
Reichmann says, just because we are in a pandemic, it doesn't mean people no longer need blood transfusions.
"Even with some different surgeries being cancelled, patients across Canada still need the treatments that they require for the illnesses that they have, so that doesn't change."
