Oxford County OPP have been at the scene of a motor vehicle collision involving a stolen vehicle, just west of the village of Sweaburg since noon hour Wednesday. A stolen dark blue GMC pickup truck travelling on Trillium Line collided with a white Ford pickup truck being driven on Sweaburg Road. The male driver of the stolen pick up fled the scene into the field between Trillium Line and Budd Line. A search commenced involving the OPP Aviation services, the Canine Unit as well as the Emergency Response Team. The investigation is still ongoing at this time. Police are asking drivers to avoid the area of Dodge Line, Curry Road and Sweaburg Road as these roads are blocked for the Techinical Traffic Collision Investigation team to do their job.
