Upper Thames Brewery is hosting a 19-plus Drag Bingo tonight, organized by Oxford County PRIDE.
OXFORD COUNTY - It is PRIDE Month and Oxford County PRIDE is celebrating.
Flag-raising ceremonies took place across the County to kick things off, and multiple events will be held throughout the month. Oxford County PRIDE will be hosting Drag Bingo tonight at Upper Thames Brewery.
President, Tami Murray says it is a very popular event.
"It is a little bit of a contrast from the church service. As many people know it is a packed house, you have to get there early, and there is no cost."
Through the years there have been many changes, and Murray says the growth has been amazing.
"9 years ago with a picnic with about 20 or so people in South Side Park, and here we are. We are a big tourism option here in Oxford County, people come from all over."
Murray adds that people who were originally from Oxford County come back from places such as Toronto or Windsor and say that they would have never thought anything like this would happen.
This is a 19-plus event and will take place from 7:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
You can find out about all the events happening this month by visiting the Oxford County PRIDE website.
