The vehicle was set into motion, causing it to roll backwards into the ditch, after the front side windows and the rear window were smashed and the vehicle was rummaged through.
OXFORD COUNTY - Police are investigating a theft from a vehicle on Plank Line in Ingersoll.
It happened Monday around 11:10 p.m., the vehicle was parked and secured at the carpool lot near the roundabout off Highway 401.
Police believe sometime between 2:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., the front side windows and the rear window were smashed.
The stereo was ripped out, and the vehicle was rummaged through.
Somehow the vehicle was set into motion, causing it to roll backwards into the ditch.
The investigation is ongoing with hopes to identify those responsible.
