BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - A 39 year old woman from Kitchener has been charged with impaired driving after slamming into two transport trucks on the 401 in Blandford-Blenheim Township.
Police say the woman was heading eastbound on the 401 near County Road 22 on Saturday afternoon when she lost control of her vehicle. The woman hit two transport trucks before coming to a rest in a middle of the roadway. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The drivers of the two transport trucks were not injured.
After investigating police charged the 39 year old with impaired driving.
Inspector Tony Hymers and Oxford OPP Detachment Commander Tony Hymers says if you plan on drinking, don't plan on driving.
"There is absolutely no safe level of alcohol consumption when getting behind the wheel of any motor vehicle. Arrange a designated driver, stay overnight or take a taxi service. Driving is a privilege NOT a right."
