It was another tragic long weekend in Long Point. Norfolk OPP say 29 year-old Sures Kumar Kunasekaram from Etobicoke drowned Monday while visiting the beach with family and friends. According to witnesses, the man came across a sandbar and slipped below the water's surface just after 4:00 pm. Attempts to save the man were made by those around him but were unsuccessful. A human chain of approximately 60 people were able to locate the man about 25 minutes later, however despite their best efforts, EMS were not able to revive the man. Police say a post mortem will be performed today.
