Video Montage of Encouragement for Ella Shelton

The Ingersoll 50+ Centre is asking the community to submit video messages and photos of an encouragement for a montage they will send to Ella Shelton ahead of the Olympics.

INGERSOLL - The Ingersoll 50+ Centre is working on sending a video montage to Ella Shelton before she heads to the Olympics as a member of Team Canada.

Ella's grandparents John and Deb Bowman are members of the centre. Centre Coordinator Kristi Oegema says they are pretty proud of their grand daughter.

"I remember getting the email the day they announced the roster and Deb, the grandmother was ecstatic and she was beaming with pride and their was a picture of John, the grandfather holding up a jersey that he could wear when team Canada plays at the Olympics, it was a pretty proud and special moment for them as well.

Oegema says the Centre is asking members and residents to send short videos with words of encouragement, a photo of signs in their window and they will create a short montage to send to Ella.

"We are going to take all those submissions and create a short video that we are going to send to Ella to take with her, just some words of encouragement and just some love from home that she can take with her as she goes to China."

You can contact the centre to find out how you can share your message and get in the montage. You can email your submissions to k.oegema@ingersollseniors.com or if you need some help you can call the centre at (519) 485-3869.

Also Heart FM will have an interview with Ella Shelton on Wednesday afternoon at 4:45 pm with Cody and Chris.
