Everyone is invited to a vigil on Sunday in Woodstock to honour the 50 people who were killed at a mosque in New Zealand last week.
WOODSTOCK - The Muslim Association of Woodstock along with the Church of the Epiphany are hosting a vigil on Sunday evening.
Everyone in the community is welcome to pay their respects to the 50 people who were killed in a senseless act of terror in New Zealand last week. Vice President of the Muslim Association Mohammed Ismail says the vigil is chance to pay respect to the victims and their families.
"Everyone is invited to come along, there will be an opportunity for people to sign a book of condolence, give some money if they wish to the victims, light a candle and then participate in the joint prayer session."
The vigil is happening at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Church of the Epiphany on Dundas Street.
