Lots of people will hit the track at CASS to support the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners on Saturday May 24th.
WOODSTOCK - The Walk for Alzheimer's is coming back to Woodstock.
Leslie Rand, the Director of Development for the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners, it's just over a week away.
"The walk is coming up on Saturday May 24th here at College Ave Secondary School (CASS). It runs from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and it's a great way for people to come out and show their support for individuals living with dementia as well as their families and care partners."
Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and there will also be snacks along with music at the event as well.
Rand says all of the money raised will be put to good use.
"Our organization has to fundraise $2 million every year just to continue to deliver the existing level of programs and services. So the walk supports everything we do."
She says the programs include local support groups, social work, counseling, system navigation, and lots of education.
