The Walk for Lupus will be happening Southside Park on Saturday June 3rd with all of the proceeds going to lupus education and support programs.
WOODSTOCK - After a four-year hiatus, the annual Walk for Lupus is returning to Southside Park.
The walk is hosted by Lupus Ontario, and their multi-city fundraising events raise money for support and education programs for lupus patients and their families.
Jan Ropp, the Coordinator for the Woodstock event, says the walk is taking place on June 3rd this year. Registration takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and the walk starts at 11:30 a.m. She says they are also hosting a raffle during the walk with all funds going to the cause.
The event will include special guests Mayor Jerry Acchione stopping by to make opening remarks, and also a speaker from Lupus Ontario coming to educate walkers on the cause.
To register for the walk, visit the Lupus Ontario website.
Jan Ropp stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Friday May 19th and you can listen to the full interview below:
