The tap water remains safe to drink as crews work to repair a watermain break in downtown Ingersoll.
INGERSOLL - A watermain break in downtown Ingersoll today is possibly impacting homes in the community.
Oxford County put out a notice this afternoon. Tap water is still safe to drink and the water services has not been interrupted. Public Works has collected bacteriological samples and checked chlorine levels in the water distribution system to ensure the continued safety of drinking water.
Repairs are underway. If you do see any discoloured water in your taps, just run the taps until the water is clear.
