SALFORD - A senior from Salford was arrested on Sunday morning on charges of pointing a firearm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Police were initially called around 11 am after getting a report of a disturbance at a home on Dereham Line in South-West Oxford Township. The road was closed for a few hours while officers responded.
Members of the Oxford OPP, West Region OPP Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit and Tactics and Rescue Unit and EMS assisted in the call.
Eventually 74 year old Richard Benjamin was arrested.
