A big chance is coming for the 2025 edition of Wienerfest.
OXFORD COUNTY - The annual Weinerfest event is coming back for its 25th year.
It was held in Woodstock for the longest time, but there is going to be a change this year. Organizer, Linda Sonnenburg has the details.
"We are on the move and on the roll. The wieners are moving 11 minutes down the highway to Burford fairgrounds."
Sonnenburg adds the move seemed to be right as Burford has a suitable fairgrounds for the dogs, as well as lots of parking for all the people that come to the event. She says volunteers are needed.
"We can't make this run without volunteers. All of us are volunteers as well. All the money that we raise goes to local rescues here in town, and we're also working with them with the Optimist Club of Oxford this year, they're going to help us a little bit too with the volunteers."
You will be able to help with the wiener dog race, bobbing for wieners and many more fun events. You can sign up to become a volunteer by emailing info@wienerfest.ca.
