The numbers have been released for home sales in February. WITAAR saw increases in many areas.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Woodstock Ingersoll Tillsonburg and Area Association of Realtors has a big month in February.
This year, just over 163 units were sold, which was a gain of 19.9% from February of last year. Sales were below the 5-year average by 2.4%, while for the 10-year average sales were above by 6.5%.
The average price for a home sold last month was $647,460 and was up only 0.4% from the same period last year.
Looking at the dollar amount for home sales in February, it was a total of $105.5 million, which comes as an increase of 20.3% from last year.
For the first two months this year, 279 units were sold, which is an increase of 20.8% from 2023. 250 units were listed, and that was a gain of 17.9%.
The number of new listings was also the largest for the month in more than a decade.
