Oxford OPP used video surveillance to charge a woman with theft under $5,000.
INGERSOLL - Oxford OPP have arrested a 30 year old woman from St. Thomas who they say stole a necklace from a business in Ingersoll.
The necklace was stolen from Patina's Gifts of Art and Craft on Thames Street South on Friday October 2nd. Police say the woman was caught on video surveillance placing the necklace in her coat pocket before leaving the store. After going through the video, police were able to identify a suspect and arrested the 30 year old woman from St. Thomas.
She has been charged with the following:
Theft Under $5,000
Breach of Probation Order (2 counts)
She was held for a bail hearing and released with a future court date.
