Woodstock City Council has approved some minor changes to their boundary adjustment with Norwich Township.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock City Council has authorized some amendments to an already approved boundary adjustment with Norwich Township.
Mayor Trevor Birtch says the agreement switches the ownership of about 1,500 acres of land from Norwich to Woodstock.
"It would encompass the areas around the 403 and 401 interchange for future commercial and industrial."
Birtch says the changes in the deal are very minor and will not impact the transaction.
"In our correspondence with the Ministry in Toronto there's been some items that they would like clarification on; technicalities on property identifiers, survey markers, etcetera."
The Ministry of Municipal Affairs also wanted a legal description of the affected lands to be included in the agreement.
The updated accord is also expected to be approved by Norwich Township Council on Tuesday and Oxford County Council on Wednesday.
