The Woodstock Art Gallery is continuing to grow in popularity, over 25,500 people visited the WAG in 2017.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Art Gallery is looking for a funding boost, in order to prepare themselves for an exciting 2018.
They're looking for a $90,000 budget increase so they can expand their popular education programs; like Youth Quake and Imprinting Generations.
Director Curator Mary Reid would like to give the Educational Assistant more hours to make this possible.
"We're at capacity but the demand is continuing to increase so to be able to match that demand I need to be able to grow her hours so that we can be able to grow our revenue streams as well."
Reid is also expecting a higher visitor count, especially with the the Art of the Warner Brothers Cartoon exhibit this fall.
"This is a huge coup for us, we're going to be the second Canadian venue so far to host this exhibition. We're not getting it until November but we want to get the word out. If you want to see how Bugs Bunny came to life then please join us at the art gallery this fall."
The gallery brought in 29,739 in 2017. Those numbers are up when compared to 29,533 in 2016 and 27,791 in 2015.
