The Woodstock Choralaires will perform some of their greatest hits from over the past 60 years.
WOODSTOCK - It will be extra special spring concert for the Woodstock Choralaires.
The local choir is celebrating its 60th anniversary and Thank You for the Music will highlight some of their greatest hits over the years.
Each member was able to request one song. Member Heather Jones says they're not able to use all of them, but they will have quite the variety in the show.
"We've got some older pieces, some newer pieces, some more modern numbers like Madonna piece, and some we took on tour. It's a lovely mix of music covering all of the genres."
She tells us about one of the numbers they will be performing.
"We're going Bring Me Sunshine which is a wonderful little old ditty. We sang it with the Harmony Men on the Island of Jersey in 2019, so it always makes us smile to sing that piece."
The show will be taking place at Knox Presbyterian Church on Saturday April 25th with a 3:00 p.m. start time. It should last about two hours with a 15 minute intermission.
Tickets cost $30 each and they can be purchased through any member of the Woodstock Choralaires, or at Wilson and Markle Jewellers in Woodstock. You can also purchase them online here or call 519-456-5270. Kids 12 and under will get in for free.
You can find more information about the Woodstock Choralaires online here.
