The Woodstock Farmer's Market celebrates opening for the 2015 season.
WOODSTOCK - You don't have to head to the country to get your hands on some farm fresh fruits and vegetables this summer.
The Downtown Woodstock Farmers Market will be taking over Museum Square every Thursday starting this week.
Executive Director of the downtown BIA Kelly Morrison tells Heart FM they will have some events happening for the opening today at 12 p.m. They will have members of the Woodstock Police Service and other first responders on hand who will be doing a demonstration on First Responders Week.
Woodstock Hydro will also be present with their Sunny Side Up Trailer which looks at some green options for energy that everyone can do. She adds a lot of the popular vendors are returning - including the always popular bread seller. You will also be able to get baked goods, locally grown fruits and vegetables, meats, dairy and flowers every Thursday from 12 - 5 p.m. until mid October.
