WOODSTOCK - It's an event that Woodstock residents of all ages look forward to each year.
Today is opening day for the 187th Woodstock Fair and a lot of your favourites will be returning this year including Old McDonald's Barn, the Youth Scavenger Hunt, and the Campbell Amusements midway.
Today also happens to be Toonie Day for the midway. This means ride coupons will only cost $2 each and you'll only need one or two coupons to go an a ride. You can find the daily operating hours for the midway, as well as the price of ride coupons and bracelets online here.
Touch a Truck will be taking place on Friday as well as the Big Shiny Tunes night, with live music and a 19-plus beverage garden.
It's a busy schedule on the Saturday with the Horse Show, the Raptor Show (featuring birds of prey), the Chainsaw Carving Show, and the Stock Tractor Pull.
Sunday's schedule includes the Pet Show, the Pet Talent Show, and the Impact Sports Demolition Derby.
Admission is free to get into the fair, but you will have to pay $5 if you want to watch the tractor pull or the demo derby.
You can find more information online here.
