There's still time to get your tickets for the Woodstock Hospital Foundation's 50/50 draw for March.
WOODSTOCK - Still time to get your hands on a 50/50 draw from the Woodstock Hospital Foundation.
Right now the jackpot for the month of March is over $42,400.
Diagnostic Imaging Manager Brad Gates says the money raised from this fundraiser goes towards the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
"Diagnostic Imaging is a very expensive place in the Hospital. The overall cost of all of our equipment is approximately between $15 million and $20 million. To put in perspective, I checked with some of our friends in the lab, and some of their most expensive equipment runs in between let's say $150,000 and $200,000, where I can spend millions on one piece of equipment like an MRI scanner or a CT scanner."
Gates explains the two pieces of equipment they are currently in the process of purchasing.
"A general X-Ray machine and a mobile thoracoscopy unit and both of those pieces of equipment came with us from the old site. One of them was purchased in 2004 and the other was purchased in 2006, so we are just trying to get ahead of the curve here and replace some of the older pieces of equipment."
